Editorial
Here it is... the last Zzap!Raine issue for year 2003, and
again there are two additions. No new sections added, but
let's say welcome to Lee Bolton in the Raine reviews
section (he was the editor of
Zzap!Test #1 and is
mostly fond of C64 games).
And let's also say a huge welcome to Paul E. Morrison, who
also formerly contributed to
Zzap!64
#107 (he's also credited there), and is webmaster of a
well-known website dedicated to arcade and 8-bit
computers retro-reviews. I invite you to read his first
Raine review: Kick and Run.
Here's the long-awaited return of two sections: Redhot is
back with the third chapter of his Milestones,
featuring reviews of videogames that left footprints in the
gaming history.
Another odd character is back: Rockford. He still
lives in a cave full of diamonds and tells us something about
people working here in Zzap!Raine. Not just working
actually... we're a sort of nomads going forth and back.
This month's reviews: Rygar (the cover game) the
legendary warrior coming from the dawn of times;
Truxton is a restless vertically scrolling shooter
produced by Taito and developed by Toaplan; Kick and
Run is a soccer simulation: the flyer claims "Not
just another soccer game, but a soccer experience!",
"Everything's included except the stadium!" and
"fast paced action with all the thrills of real
soccer!"... oh God is that true? Who knows... Gun
& Frontier is a western-style vertically scrolling
shooter taking place in a world named Gloria, it's a war
between pioneers and aliens; a special review of Pengo
is here, dedicated to all the fans of the early 80's.
I think that's all, so I wish you merry Christmas and happy
new year and... happy zzapping!
