desert area

Here we find an horizontal shoot'em up. Game is easy: shoot and bomb everything that moves!
World has been invaded by the Burgoid, a tribe of midgets turned into cyborgs, who want to conquer Planet Earth. Yanmer, an insect-size warrior have been created to wipe out all kind of insects. With propellers on his hat, a pair of wings and a suit with special power he can fly quicker than a jet! With the help of insecticide cans destroy all insects, fishes, mushrooms, snails, bamboo, plants and others, all armed and dangerous.

Clear all five areas from these cyborgs and world will be safe. Game starts from the desert area with Egyptian pyramids, then we find a plateau area (grassy plains), then to the city area, trough the jungle area and finally in underground Empire, where our hero goes straight into the lair of the final monster: the Burgoid monarch.
At the end of each area you have to fight against a huge insect, the main enemy, and, when it's destroyed, screen is clear for the next round.
Increase fire powerby picking up some items left by hit insects such us letters and acorns; by picking up insecticide cans you'll have special weapons.

Zaxxon1Nice title screen and nice end of round screens (good fun), short demo-play sequence. Superb tune and sound effects that go throughout the game; they add a special atmosphere to the game. Graphics are well colored, characters are fun and accurately designed. Impressive bosses, backgrounds (especially first round ones), and scrolling too. Good enemies variety, marvelous animation. Here you can shoot everything without thinking, you won't be able to leave game alone! Five rounds to see "Game Over" seem not enough, but, I tell you, it isn't as easy as it seems to get to the end, it will surely keep you busy for a big while!
Good game anyway, even if originality isn't its best feature.

LilianaI like this game! The best part of it is sound: the cheerful tune is lovely (the one in first level has been used even in a TV ad!) and so are sound effects, maybe too loud in some situations. Graphics are accurate in details, impressive the precision of the bosses!
Game-play might seems a bit boring and monotonous, but, I ensure you, game will takes your glued to it until you've finished it. At the end you even feel satisfied for having saved world from insects invasion!

Roy JonesWell.... game presentation is almost missing... Graphics have the Taito style of these years, with funny characters and enemies. Sound: could have been better. The fact that is a shooter means that it isn't much original... but it has something different from the others... The difficulty of this genre of games is to remember the sequence of enemies appearance ....it isn't very stimulating... If you aren't keen on these kind of games, I don't suggest it....
